Accessibility Statement

LEAD Tourism is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

This voluntary Accessibility Statement explains the current accessibility approach of the LEAD Tourism website, the areas that are being reviewed and how users can report accessibility barriers.

Scope of this statement

This statement applies to the website lead-tourism.eu and covers the pages and content managed directly within the LEAD Tourism website.

It does not cover external websites, platforms or services linked from this website. This includes the external LEAD Tourism learning platform and websites managed independently by project partners or third-party organisations.

The Moodle learning platform is an external service and should provide its own accessibility and privacy information.

Our approach to accessibility

LEAD Tourism aims to provide a website that is clear, understandable and usable by people with different needs, devices and assistive technologies.

Accessibility is considered as part of the website’s ongoing editorial, design and technical development.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, Level AA, are being used as a reference target for future accessibility checks and improvements.

Current accessibility status

The LEAD Tourism website has not yet undergone a complete formal accessibility audit.

For this reason, LEAD Tourism does not currently claim full or partial conformance with WCAG 2.2 or an equivalent technical accessibility standard.

The website is being reviewed to identify possible barriers and determine the improvements that may be required.

This statement will be updated when more complete technical and manual accessibility testing has been carried out.

Areas currently under review

The following areas are being reviewed as part of the ongoing accessibility work:

  • page titles, headings and semantic structure;
  • keyboard navigation;
  • visibility and behaviour of keyboard focus;
  • skip links and page navigation mechanisms;
  • colour contrast and text readability;
  • behaviour on mobile devices and at increased zoom levels;
  • contact form labels, instructions and error messages;
  • image alternative text;
  • links and button descriptions;
  • accessibility of downloadable documents and project resources;
  • compatibility with commonly used assistive technologies.

The inclusion of an item in this list does not necessarily mean that a confirmed accessibility issue exists. It means that the area has not yet been fully assessed or requires additional verification.

Reporting an accessibility problem

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the LEAD Tourism website.

  • experience difficulty accessing part of the website;

  • find content that is unclear or difficult to understand;

Please specify the content you need and the format that would be most accessible to you.

The project team will assess each request and provide a reasonable alternative where possible.

External content and third-party services

The LEAD Tourism website may contain links to external platforms, partner websites, documents or services that are not designed, hosted or controlled directly by the LEAD Tourism website team.

We cannot guarantee the accessibility of independent third-party content.

Users who experience accessibility problems on an external service should consult the accessibility information or contact details provided by the organisation responsible for that service.
